Brandix i3 becomes the first company in Sri Lanka to be certified by ISO 9001:2015
Brandix i3 was recently awarded the new ISO 9001:2015 certification and was confirmed as the first company in Sri Lanka to be accredited with the new ISO standard for Quality Management System from International Certification Services under JAS-ANZ Australia accreditation.
The scope of the ISO 9001 certificate for Brandix i3 covers providing consulting services in the field of enterprise resource planning, business process, customer support and development of related software and technology solutions.
The ISO 9001 International Quality Management System standard is implemented by over one million organizations in over 170 countries and specifies requirements for a quality Management System (QMS) and is used as a standard to demonstrate an organization’s ability to provide high-quality products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
The new standard will ensure continuous improvement and quality management within an organization, whilst integrating and aligning business strategies. It will reinforce the use of management systems as a governance tool and assist in identifying business opportunities that contribute to bottom-line improvements. The new structure will ensure ISO management systems standards and the ability to easily implement multiple, integrated management systems.
Brandix i3 was ISO 9001:2008 certified in February 2013. The new ISO 9001 standard is based on Annex SL – the new High Level Structure (HLS) that brings a common framework to all management system standards and helps to keep consistency, alignment of different management system standards, offer matching sub-clauses against the top-level structure and apply common language across all standards. The key changes in the proposed standard are:
- The emphasis on leadership
- The focus on risk management
- Emphasis on objectives measurement and change
- Communication and awareness
- Fewer prescriptive requirements
