Navigating COVID-19

A message from the Managing Director

March 19, 2020

Dear Valued Customer,

As COVID-19 continues to wreak unprecedented levels of disruption across the globe, I would like to update you on how Fortude is adapting its business model to ensure continuity for our customers, while ensuring the safety of our associates and their families.

The entire Fortude team, across our five global locations, are currently working from home. Our COE offices in Sri Lanka and India, have been closed temporarily to ensure the health and safety of our associates. Since we have the systems, infrastructure and processes in place to indefinitely work from home (WFH), I am not keen to rush back into a traditional work setting unless we are able to eradicate the possibility of infection.

I would like to assure you that our service delivery will continue, albeit leveraging WFH whenever required, to ensure that there is no interruption to your business. Whether it’s ongoing project delivery, functional or technical consulting or on-going support, our teams are engaged and contactable at any time. It is “Business as Usual” at Fortude and we will continue to deliver solutions that matter to you.

We have always believed in the value of long-term partnerships with our customers. In this spirit, I would encourage you to reach out to me or any of my global leadership team if there is anything that we can do to support your business during this volatile and unpredictable period.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your colleagues, your families and your communities.

Warm regards,

Arjuna Sirinanda
Managing Director – Fortude

Please find the answers to a few questions we thought you might have:

1. Does Fortude have a business continuity plan?

Fortude has a business continuity plan that covers natural/man-made disaster situations impacting employees and infrastructure – and is supported by a cross-functional global team that continually assess risks, responses, and documents processes.

  • Our support staff are set up to work remotely with the ability to access support systems and customers as required.
  • Our consultants are equipped to provide continued services remotely through use of technology and online collaboration tools. Our consultants at customer sites in affected areas have been advised to practice a work-from-home policy. We are working with customers to enable remote infrastructure required to deliver to their project timelines.
  • We are a part of the Brandix Group. We have access to alternative locations, alternate infrastructure and also the financial backing to sustain our business through this economic downturn.

2. Will my services/commitments to deliver be impacted?

We do not expect any disruption to our services due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Our project and account managers will work with you to mitigate any risks.

3. Will consultants travel on-site to support active projects? What is the alternative to on-site visits?

Fortude’s goal is to keep its customers and employees safe during this time. As such, we have restricted employee travel to comply with country-specific and customer-specific travel policies.

4. How will Fortude provide updates on the impact of COVID-19?

Our Business Continuity Team is continuously monitoring developments surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak. Our Regional Leadership teams will stay in constant touch with all our customers as the need arises.
