WMS Solutions Consultant

Primary job role

The WMS Solutions Consultant will directly participate in Infor WMS implementations, provide support services and deliver work packages related to Infor WMS. The consultant will also gain knowledge and skills in the Infor M3 ERP Warehousing module in order to implement it alongside Infor WMS.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Investigate, analyze, communicate and document warehousing and operational processes and business requirements.
  • Design Infor WMS solutions.
  • Document gap analysis, solution blueprint and scenarios related to warehousing and related operations.
  • Design, test and present Infor beta solutions.
  • Configure solutions, migrate data, and create test data.
  • Document integration specifications and test integrations.
  • Monitor system testing.
  • Conduct data migration planning, data cleansing, validation and migration.
  • Conduct production configuration for Infor WMS solutions.
  • Design, test, present and document presales solutions, and provide estimates.
  • Provide first-level, second-level, and third-level support during go-live.
  • Provide post go-live training and testing related to warehouse users.
  • Provide post go-live functional L2 support.
  • Prepare training material for key users and end users, and train and evaluate users.
  • Design solutions for change requests on Infor WMS, provide estimates, document specifications, and test and present solutions.

 

Other responsibilities

  • Mentor project teammates and review their functional and technical consulting, writing, speaking, presentation, and training skills.

 

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in solution designing and implementing warehouse management systems such as Infor WMS

 

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and environments
  • Knowledge in at least one of the following industries:
    • Food and beverage
    • Manufacturing
    • Distribution
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Experience working with one of the following ERP systems:
    • Infor M3
    • SAP
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365
    • Oracle
  • Other technologies: DB, SQL, Infor OS

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a business-related discipline or an equivalent professional qualification
