Software Engineer – Robotic Process Automation (Blue Prism)
Primary job role
We are looking for RPA Software Engineers to join our team on a permanent basis. The right person will work within an intelligent, motivated and self-driven team, and have good communication skills and an effective problem-solving approach. The engineer’s primary job role will be to design and develop solutions using Blue Prism and related technologies, such as UiPath and Power Automate.
Main duties/responsibilities
- Should have hands-on experience in Blue Prism development
- Participate in solution design against business requirements
- Good understanding of business requirements along with technical details
- Conduct feasibility studies and identify gaps
- Troubleshoot issues to identify the root cause
- Analyze business requirements to develop functional and non-functional system requirements
- Get involved in the QA verification phase to support the QA team
- Follow code adherence such as proper commenting, adherence to design, nomenclature, and security practices
- Ability to deliver within estimated timelines
- Participate in peer review process of code, adhering to design
- Follow best practices for code development, reviews, and releases
- Ability to provide quick resolution to issues after go-live
- Timely updates to senior technical members on any concerning issues
- Stay up-to-date with RPA technology to add value to the project
- A can-do approach and positive attitude to support the project as and when required
- Perform proof of concepts for feasibility analysis, for the proposed automated solution
- Work with the operational teams during the UAT and roll-out
- Fix bugs during UAT and SIT
- Perform administrative jobs in the Blue Prism live environment, such as running processes, viewing logs, maintaining resource PCs, etc.
Experience
- 2 – 3 years of experience in the relevant field
Technical knowledge
- Firsthand experience in Blue Prism is a must. Design and development knowledge in UiPath and Power Automate will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of working with VB.NET or C#.NET is required
- Blue Prism Associate Developer, Developer, Professional Developer certification will be advantageous
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or an equivalent qualification
