Senior QA Engineer (Automation)

Primary job role

Develop and execute test plans and test cases with a strong emphasis on using code to solve technical challenges and shorten the test cycle through automation

Main duties/responsibilities

  • Implement end-to-end automation solutions
  • Support development of automation scripts at all layers of application stack
  • Support DevOps implementations
  • Support automation assessments for clients
  • Support tool research, analysis & selection
  • Implement automation frameworks & approaches
  • Support testing & quality activities in an Aglie environment

Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance

Technical knowledge

  • Experience in defect tracking tools
  • Experience in Selenium WebDriver automation using Java
  • Good understanding of element locator strategies such as XPath, CSS
  • Experience in unit test frameworks such as TestNG, Junit
  • Experience with script debugging and defect fixing
  • Experience in API testing tools such as Rest Assured, Postman, SoapUI & DevOps tools will be an added advantage

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or systems engineering
